5 questions to ask your children to encourage them be more optimistic and confident about life:

1. Tell me something good that happened to you today?
The purpose is to make it a habit to try and see anything that is positive.
2. What are you going to do about it?
Our parental role is to educate our children to solve problems on their own, and show them we trust them, on doing so. This gives them a sense of control on their lives, and thus, a sense of well-being.
3. How does that make you feel?
According to research, people that are more in tune with their feelings, lead a more satisfying life.
4. How do you think this made him/her feel?
Teaching empathy helps our children develop healthier relationships, which eventually awakens more happiness.
5. What do you love doing?
It can be sports, a hobby or anything else. The goal is to encourage our children to look for, and pursue, the things they are passionate about.
As parents, we cannot make our children happy, but we can certainly teach them to make more positive and empowering choices.
