Children react to parents

Updated: Jan 3, 2024

“We think that children act, whereas what they mostly do is react”. (Dr. Gabor Maté)

Our children react to the way we speak to them,

to the way we behave, and treat, them.

They react to their own basic needs of hunger, tiredness,

but also - the need to be seen, felt or loved.

They react to our expectations of them, the good and the bad ones.

When we understand that, we can start getting curious about our children, and their behavior.

And accordingly, start changing OUR behavior.

It’s as simple as that, and that’s what parental coaching is about.

If you need any help in understanding why your child is acting a certain way,

and what you can do about it, feel free to give me a call.
